White Chocolate Mousse Tart With Oreo Cookie Crust

This White Chocolate Mousse Tart With Oreo Cookie Crust I have discovered at Petra’s Chili und Ciabatta Blog. Her version looks quite different from mine. This is due to the fact that I did not read her recipe correctly and used a much too big form to bake with. Never the less, a delicious cake that does not need baking.


Preparation time: 30 minutes
simple recipe for those who can read

Ingredients for the crust:

1 pack of Oreo cookies (approx 12)
50 gram butter
100 ml cream
150 gram bitter chocolate
Ingredients for the cream:
250 gram white chocolate
350 ml cream
1 ts vanilla extract
1 Soup Spoon Arar-Agar
30 ml water


Preparation of the crust (18cm springform pan):

Layout cut baking paper in the springform pan.


Finely grind cookies in food processor; add melted butter and blend until combined. Press crust mixture into the bottom of prepared pan.


Bring cream to a simmer in a heavy medium saucepan. Reduce heat to low; add chocolate and whisk until melted and smooth. Pour chocolate mixture over crust. Chill.


Preparation of the cream (18cm springform pan):

Combine white chocolate and 100 ml cream in and carefully heat up. Stir until melted and smooth. Remove from the heat and cool to barely lukewarm.


Dissolve the Arar-Agar in a little boiling water. Add to the chocolate and mix well.


Add the remaining cream and vanilla; stir to combine. Beat the cream until stiff. Mix carefully with the chocolate. Pour into the form, on top of the crust. Event out the cream and chill.


Let it fridge over night.
