Last week, I visited my sister in my home town not too far from where I live. Every year, around our birthdays we get together for lunch, take in an art exhibit and sometimes do some sight-seeing, if the weather cooperates.

This year, we decided to take a drive to the Wind Point Lighthouse. On a summer day, the grounds would be busy with people taking in the beautiful view or having a picnic.

The lighthouse was recently refurbished and repainted. The lighthouse tower looked beautiful against the deep blue sky. It was a beautiful day but it's still winter here so it was chilly. There was only one other small group of people on the grounds that day.

Even though it was too cold to sit and enjoy the view for long, it was gorgeous! The shades of blue in the water and sky were magnificent. Care to wiggle your toes in the snow?
