Wining and Dining Scottish Style

By (Visit website)

There will be no 2nd blog today as we are off to the Brae Loch Inn, Cazenovia, NY for a Robby Burns dinner celebration.  The original plan was to stay overnight at the inn but we were ousted by a group of Germans that extended their stay.  We were able to go around the corner to stay at the Brewster Inn.  Looks gorgeous, doesn’t it?!!!

I’ll give a review of our dinner on Sat. when we return home.  They are being very accommodating since 1. They cancelled our room reservations (dinner will be on the house!)  2.  They are offering me a vegetarian version of the Robby Burns dinner.  I’m just TOO excited!!!

As for this morning, Shane and I went for a simple 45 minute walk. We met with the guy we usually see walking in the morning (can’t for the life of me reason why he dresses all in black?!).  We had a nice little chit-chat about how much easier it was with the roads being totally clear of snow. Then went our separate ways.  He has the SKINNIEST, long legs!

Breakfast:

I went with 1 packet of quick cooking oats. I had a little protein shake left over and added it to my oats. Mistake. It made the oats too creamy for me.  My stomach was a little annoyed.

Too Creamy Oats

1 scoop Dymatize Smooth Banana with FUZE, ice and water
1/2 Banana added to 1 pkg Quaker Instant Oatmeal. Plus some raisins and a little left over protein shake.
1/2 grapefruit with 1 strawberry.

After I’m done with the toils of Friday at work, I’m leaving early to finish a birthday cake for a customer. Her son, Jack will be 3 years old and wants a Cars Movie theme cake. Since I’m pressed for time, she agreed on a simple chocolate cake, strawberry filling, white frosting and the Red Car from the movie. Shame on me.. I don’t know that car’s name.  I even saw the movie.

I’ll post that picture tomorrow.  You all have a great Friday. Celebrate the weekend. Hope you don’t get the cold that is expected here. Best to all!
