Yoga by the lake
Successful Saturday it was!! House cleaning, some much-needed shopping for work clothes, late-night yoga, and hanging out with friends! On my way to shop [I totally racked up at Plato's Closet!!] I hit up Starbizzle for an afternoon pick-me up. Grande iced coffee with skim milk and 1 truvia. Along with my coffee, I had a Pure Bar. This cranberry orange flavor was DELICIOUS!!! Anybody ever shop at Plato’s Closet? Plato’s is a consignment shop where they buy people’s gently used name-brand clothes and then resale them. I usually never find anything there, but I went in with a mission to find work clothes and plenty of time to go through pretty much the whole store. I got lots of shirts and pants!! I was particularly stoked about the Gap and Banana Republic pants I scored!!! Following my shopping success, Russell and I hit up Jason’s for dinner. While I pretty much have everything at home for fixing a salad, for some reason, the thought of fixing a salad just wasn’t appealing. Call me lazy, I guess. The salad bar at Jason’s Deli is stocked full of lots of great fixings I quickly filled my salad bowl My bowl was filled with: mixed greens baby carrots broccoli bell pepper rings bean salad feta cheese hardboiled egg bean sprouts cucumber slices grapes apple slices 1 cracker topped with roasted red pepper hummus and NO salad dressing My salad was so good! And I can’t leave Jason’s Deli without having some of their chocolate mousse. Along with my mousse, I had a mini corn bread muffin and a mini gingerbread muffin The mini muffins were delic, but the mousse was the highlight of this desert bowl! Yoga by the lake anyone?!?! A local yoga studio was having a sunset yoga class last night….How relaxing!! Russell and I met Tyler and Christie there. By the time the class ended we were yoga-ing it up under the stars. Ahhhhh. Christie and Tyler came back to our condo after yoga….its been way too long since we’ve all gotten to hang out! We decided to bake during the hangout festivities: This muffin mix is made with water and egg whites so there is only 100 calories per muffin. The 100 calories per muffin includes chocolate chips added on top of each muffin. I didn’t have chocolate chips so I sprinkled cacao nibs on top instead. 25 minutes later, my kitchen was smelling like chocolate heaven and Tyler was more than ready to get them out of the oven and start devouring them. I had 1 muffin last night with a glass of skim milk. I really liked the cacao nib addition to the top of the muffins. Great Saturday it was! I can’t wait till the next time that yoga by the lake is offered!!
