A few weeks ago at a church activity a friend taught our youth to make 3 kinds of salsa. They were all AMAZING and this was the first one I tried to make on my own. I was so proud of the results :-)! And I was impressed that the girls loved it too...it has milk in it, so that counts as calcium intake, right?! (She called Green Sauce with Avocado, but I renamed it :-) *note I made a[...]http://whatsonmymenu.blogspot.com/2010/03/cre...

Sweet, gorgeous and tasty. These three adjectives are my personal definition for pineapples. And one of the good things about this time of the year is their availability. So I better envoy it! Last night, tuna was on the menu for dinner. I also had some avocados and one pineapple on the counter waiting for me to be eaten. So I thought: a pineapple-avocado salsa will be good with tuna,[...]http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/FoodGourmand/~...

I don't really like spicy salsa that you would eat with chips. I would much rather have a fresh fruit medley like this one. This salsa came about because I had a mango that was about to go bad and an avocado that was about to go bad. Thats it. I put the two fruits together, added a can of navy beans, and lime juice and salt. Fresh and perfect. You could serve this as a side to[...]http://thezoeblog.blogspot.com/2009/08/fresh-...

W e liked this recipe so much we made a double batch, as the photos reflect. The recipe doesn't say to do so, but we chill it before serving and it taste great! Depending upon your preference of heat, you can increase or decrease your peppers. We like it spicy so the contrast between all the ingredients is a good mix.
