I am not comfortable using those imitation meats available in the markets. Its not about the taste that worries me – but its the ingredients in the packet which raises concern. A lot of artificial ingredients go into these and calories don’t look good too. With so many doubts lingering in the mind, its better to be safe than sorry. I like using tofu, soy chunks (for[...]http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/ChefInYou/~3/4...

I got some pictures yesterday of my niece’s first day at big girl school (what a dote!) and then it hit me–summer is almost done, or for those of you across the pond it never really got started. Sorry ’bout that. Here Stateside we celebrate Labor Day on Monday, meaning it’s a bank holiday weekend and our last official Summer hoo-ha before Autumn starts creeping[...]http://thehealthyirishman.com/2009/09/grilled...

Posted by johngl Back in the Burger Your Way To Labor Day post, I mentioned something about the possibility of throwing a fish burger into the mix. Well, the wait is over and here it is: Yep, this is a salmon burger. For all of you folks who no longer eat pigs, cows, deer, buffalo, chickens, or antelope, we now have the food for you. Sit down with your favorite grizzly bear[...]http://www.alcoholian.com/?p=4067

Posted by johngl At the end of the Pork Burger post , I mentioned that I might try the pork burger on an English muffin with some hollandaise. Not a bad progression. We’ll keep this simple with lots of pictures: Cut it to pieces: Grind it up: Add piment d’Espelette, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper as described in the other[...]http://www.alcoholian.com/?p=4117

Can there be anything better than a good classic burger? the only thing better is when one is made with home made patties. I used to purchase most of my hamburger patties frozen in local groceries stores and I always wondered why is it when you cook a hamburger the meat shrinks almost by half, what in the world do they add to the meat, this time I made the hamburgers my self and they did[...]http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/ourwholesomeho...

Seems like everybody and their brother has a recipe for buffalo chicken burgers ... and now, so do I. This one was inspired by a locker room conversation between my swim partner, Becky, and I. We were doing what we do best ... chatting ... while drying our hair and, naturally, the conversation turned to food. It always does. Becky was telling me about some amazing chicken burgers she'd[...]http://beacheats.blogspot.com/2009/07/new-day...

According to my dear friend Wikipedia, Brie is a cow’s milk cheese that is named after Brie, the French providence that it originated from. The most popular way to enjoy brie, other than just eating it straight up, is to have it baked, whether on its own or in some type of puffed pastry. Now don’t get me wrong, I love baked brie, its so retro and seventies feeling and it is[...]http://funfearlessfoodie.com/2009/12/outside-...

Last week I made some super yummy burgers. Here’s the recap: Start by assembling all of your goodies. For my burger, I sliced a red onion, chopped a few white mushrooms and sliced some Kilaree cheddar. Save some cheese for yourself. My boyfriend wanted something a little simpler – for his burgers I cooked some bacon and sliced up some sharp cheddar cheese.[...]http://breeeatschicago.wordpress.com/2010/02/...
