This is a more desserty version of my DIY Larabars from a previous post. I made these balls on Sunday intending them to be a snack/treat for my upcoming week of lunches. Problem was, I couldn't get enough of them and I ate almost half of them in the following few hours. So I had very few left for weekday treats and had to make some muffins instead. These sweet treats are really delicious and they are low in fat and low in sugar. Such a nice and healthy treat when you feel like something sweet. They're also so easy to make. These are made using a mixture of dates and nuts and dried fruit as filling. I also tried these with crushed hazelnuts instead of almonds. I need something, but I am not sure what it is. I love running, but I am feeling so blah with it lately. I see Caitlin , Meghann and Lindsay running in the Florida sun together and I am green with envy. Not that I run outside anyway, but they make it look fun.
