I was out pretty late last night, unusual for a weeknight, that too a Monday and I am just so tired today, I am glad we have this blogathon going on, because it is motivating to post this entry rather than loosing it in the shuffle. Something that happens to me so often. Well, along with the mint we went a little overboard with the pepitas (pumkin seeds) in this recipe. Let me tell you if[...]http://cookingwithrinku.blogspot.com/2009/08/...

Boy last night was I exhausted. I was up way way too late on Saturday, just doing this and that and the next day I had promised the kids I would take them to the zoo. The Bronx zoo, if you[...]http://cookingwithrinku.blogspot.com/2009/08/...

It has been busy the past few weeks with all kinds of things going on. I have also been somewhat under weather - nasty cough and flu. I get particularly sad when this extends to the weekends. I made a simple fish curry earlier in the week, with acorn squash the only[...]http://cookingwithrinku.blogspot.com/2009/11/...

Maybe everyone cooks and comes up with recipes this way, but it never ceases to surprise me when what my husband usually labels as "fruit of the refrigerator", turns out to be pretty decent. I do have misses, but I do not tell about them, for two reasons - look it takes time to post and do people really care about what did not work out..., not unless there is a moral or you know how to[...]http://cookingwithrinku.blogspot.com/2009/03/...

I try to keep my political feelings away from the blog, but sometimes I have to comment. I must be oversimplifying things but what could be wrong with a leader wanting to talk to school children about working hard and pulling up their socks! It sometimes can be challenging to inculcate a sense of responsibilty into children. The general premise seems to be to "wait till they are[...]http://cookingwithrinku.blogspot.com/2009/09/...

I love a good sandwich and this Cornmeal Crusted Tilapia Sandwich definitely fits into this category. Tilapia is a very mild tasting fish that is delicious used in lots of different styles of cooking. In this recipe, the fish is dredged in a spicy cornmeal mixture and cooked in a skillet with minimal oil. Topped with the last of my garden tomatoes, leaf lettuce and mashed avocado with[...]http://lyndasrecipebox.blogspot.com/2009/10/c...
