Good Afternoon! I hope everyone had a happy Friday! We have had a great first day of summer. The kids came with me to teach Baby Boot Cam p and were VERY well behaved and even participated in a little exercise this morning. We then came home and got ready for our BIG playdate. Emmet's best friend, Travis, comes from a family of 5 kids and we invited 4 of the 5 over to play today. I[...]http://eatdrinkandbeaware.blogspot.com/2009/0...

Happy Saturday! I love not having to set an alarm clock Besides bacon, we are running low on just about everything this morning, so I had to get creative with my part of breakfast. We only had 1 egg left, so I made Nick?s french toast with the egg and some milk. Good Morning! Happy Saturday! I love the weekends, especially the one's where I don't have to go to yoga teacher training. Don't get me wrong... I love my teacher training but I am able to spend the day with my kids and extended family and I am so excited. I was the first one up and admit I hopped out of bed and went outside to check on the garden. I was for sure that the deer were[...]http://eatdrinkandbeaware.blogspot.com/2009/0...

Have I ever mentioned that I'm impatient? Well I am. These cookies prove it. I was to bring a snack to last night's meeting and I'd been wanting an excuse to try another recipe from Linda Braun's Everything Flax . This seemed like the perfect opportunity to get a range of opinions without having to call in family members. I've been experimenting with flax seeds lately. I know they're full of omega-3 fatty acids, fiber and cancer-fighting lignans, but truth be told, I'm attracted to their crunch and nutty taste. So when Linda Braun's Everything Flax (Whitecap, 2009) hit the shelves, I just had to get a copy. What struck me most wasn't the flax-centric recipes, but rather how easily flax incorporated[...]http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/ChristiesCorne...

Good Morning! Happy Hump Day! I just ate the most delicious and nourishing bowl of oats. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, so it is said. I fully believe it. I have been enjoying sourdough pancakes lately, and added organic flaxseed meal from Bob's Red Mill to them for added nutrition and good stuff. I had been making a huge batch on the weekends and freezing them to eat during the week. This has worked out wonderfully because the pancakes don't take[...]http://fulfillingfood.blogspot.com/2010/03/fl...
