Lorraine at Sweet Lorraine Bakeshop has chosen Easy Sticky Toffee Pudding for Monday October 12. We tasted sticky toffee pudding on our UK trip, so I’m excited to try to make it myself.http://marthaandme.wordpress.com/2009/10/05/m...

I used to love to send postcards when I was a kid. I always sent them to my grandmother, who stuck them into random pages of her cookbooks. She always said she liked to happen upon them in the future. When she died, we found lots of them in her cookbooks. This week’s Martha Mondays project, chosen by Sarah at Mum in Bloom , is to make your own postcards . The project is[...]http://marthaandme.wordpress.com/2010/02/01/m...

This week’s Martha Mondays is the nut wreath from November Living, chosen by Sara at SassySuppers . I spent $16 on this for nuts and the wreath form. I cheated and bought a 12 inch form while Martha says to use a 24 inch form. I would have needed double the nuts if I had done that, and this would have cost even more! I already had the glue gun and ribbon. This project sounded[...]http://marthaandme.wordpress.com/2009/11/02/m...

This week’s Martha Mondays was chosen by AquaSunday – thanks for the pick! Apple Tart, from November Living was the pick. This is a quick version of an apple pie since it uses puff pastry. You have to roll out the puff pastry first to Martha’s specs. Mine stuck a bit to the counter despite the flour. You cut off an inch around the edge and layer that along the side to[...]http://marthaandme.wordpress.com/2009/11/16/m...

This week’s Martha Mondays was chosen by me. I’ve never made a dessert souffle before. I do have a recipe for a broccoli cheese souffle I make occasionally. Martha has a recipe for lemon souffle on the back page of January Living. The recipe says it feeds six. I cut it in half and it was plenty for 4 people. I started by mixing 1 tbsp lemon zest with 1 tbsp flour, 4[...]http://marthaandme.wordpress.com/2010/01/18/m...

Today’s Martha Mondays project was chosen by Teresa at Homemade Iowa Life . The project is homemade mercury glass, from page of January Martha Stewart Living. I love mercury glass, so this was exciting. Martha makes it sounds very simple (of course! It’s all simple to Martha). The first hurdle was buying what I needed. I bought a very inexpensive glass vase for $1.99.[...]http://marthaandme.wordpress.com/2010/01/11/m...

Maple granola. Yum. You can thank MaryAnn at Stirrin It Up for this week’s recipe, which is on page 24 of Feb Living. I like granola a lot, but have not been eating much of it lately since I can’t eat a lot of nuts. This only elevated my craving for this recipe. I have to admit, I was a little leery of it since it has coconut (the recipe says to use coconut chips[...]http://marthaandme.wordpress.com/2010/01/25/m...
