One of my New Year's resolutions is to perform more random acts of kindness in my daily life. It might sound a little like Pollyanna optimism, but I do think that little gestures of good will here and there magnify the flow of positive energy in the world. I was reminded of this when I walked by a heart that someone had formed with their footprints in the freshly fallen snow on my walk to[...]http://citrusquark.blogspot.com/2010/01/makin...

Today is a big day in car racing. The Daytona 500. I’m not a fan. There are some big parties and get togethers going on in celebration of the race. Personally, I just don’t see the attraction of watching cars race around tracks. It seems the excitement is when there is a crash. How sad. A Sunny Sunday AM Today began with a 5.25 mile walk with Shane. Still not 100%[...]http://applecrumbles.wordpress.com/2009/02/15...

Two or three weeks ago, my mother updated her facebook status with something like: "Just when you thought the packing was done, I discovered two boxes of sheet music! Does anyone want it?" I, naturally responded right away that I did. It's one of the busiest days of[...]http://citrusquark.blogspot.com/2010/02/japon...

I was inspired by a conversation about them with my friend, Annie, who I just went to Portland with. We were talking about charcuterie, and Banh mi came up. She was waxing on quite poetically about them, and I was embarrassed that I had never heard of them[...]http://citrusquark.blogspot.com/2010/02/banh-...

This has been the best day ever! In honor of the Spring-like weather we’ve been having, today I donned a light jacket that I hadn’t worn since the Fall. I put it on, reached my hand into the pocket and pulled out $3! I LOVE finding money in clothes you haven’t worn for months! I took my new found treasure, went to Starbucks and ordered a Toffee Nut Latte![...]http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/IowaGirlEats/~...
