The recipe was a mixture of a semi homemade magazine strawberry cake recipe and my usual recipe. But, instead of using a strawberry cake mix I used a white cake mix and added strawberry gelatin to give it color and flavor and it made it really[...]http://lapetitebaker.blogspot.com/2009/09/str...

I know this was not in my list of frosting. I made this for a friend's birthday cake two weeks ago and for now, this is on the top of my list for butter-based icing. So yummy, so chocolate-y, stable and easy to make. Chocolate Fudge Buttercream Ingredients: 240 grams (8oz) unsweetened chocolate, coarsely chopped 1 1/3 cup unsalted butter, room temperature 3 cups confectioners[...]http://mybakingmomma.blogspot.com/2010/02/cho...

I thought all along that I have plenty of butter when all I had was just one and my meringue was waiting. Uh, oh, I did not panic, it wasn't a paid order anyway, I was just trying to perfect IMBC. With just one butter at hand, I though a cup of[...]http://mybakingmomma.blogspot.com/2010/03/cho...
