Time has slipped away from me lately. Suddenly it's March and I was pretty sure I had at least a week left in February. Since when are there only 28 days in February anyway? In the last week and a half, I have visited 5 museums in 3 different cities: The Art Institute , Chicago for the permanent collection, of course, and Edvard Munch; The Marlborough Gallery , New York City for some[...]http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/CookingBooks/~...

This is my Presto Pasta Night entry. If you are like me, you don’t measure or write down when notes when you impulsively come up with a new recipe or food idea. That means you will struggle to repeat the wonderful tasty dish again. I made homemade lasagna, meaning fresh pasta noodles from scratch & fresh homemade sauce. right after Christmas. I had just bought my first[...]http://italianmamachef.wordpress.com/2010/02/...

I took this recipe for Inside-Out Lasagna from my Eating Well magazine… it’s like a deconstructed lasagna of sorts. I added mozzarella cheese to the mix, and, well, I mixed it all up. I also used a full box of whole-wheat pasta and more mushrooms. The picture at the bottom shows the recipe version of this dish, before I added the extra cheese and mixed mine together.[...]http://thefoodgroove.wordpress.com/2010/01/25...

So you've bought a heap of milk, simmered with buttermilk, skimmed, drained, salted and dried. And now you have your very own, home made lump of ricotta . You've made one batch and eaten the lot in pancakes, on toast and with fruit. You've made another batch and given it away to friends. And now there's more of it. "What to do now?" you think to yourself. Well try this. Introducing one[...]http://onebitemore.blogspot.com/2009/04/ricot...

Ah, the wonders of the internet! I came across a wonderful author, martha rose shulman who has the most amazing recipes - and healthy ones too! This is one of my favourites. It is traditionally made on top of a stove but is just as good baked. Ingredients: 2 bs extra virgin olive oil 6 large or extra large eggs Salt and freshly ground[...]http://felicekitchen.blogspot.com/2010/03/bak...

Can't get a date to save your life? Tired of being cold and alone? This recipe probably won't help you any. Not unless your issues are easily solved with dates of a different kind, and your cold solitude is best warmed up by some piping hot, yeasty goodness (in which case, this recipe just may solve your woes)! After my initial yeast-failures (see hot cross buns that double as door stops,[...]http://onebitemore.blogspot.com/2009/05/date-...

I have been seeing people doing this all over the i nternet lately. I love ricotta, and this looked simple enough. All I needed was milk and buttermilk, and about 15 minutes! It was very cool to make my own cheese. I am glad I did it, but might not do it again. With all the milk I used, I only ended up with about two cups of cheese, and a whole ton of watery whey. There's not much you can[...]http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/HeyThatTastesG...

I had an oatmeal breakthrough this morning! I didn’t end up making 3-minute chocolate mousse last night, but still wanted to find a way to eat some of my ricotta cheese . As I was making my morning oatmeal, I thought to myself – hmmmm, I wonder what it would be like in there… So, I scooped some into the pot and hoped for the best. Umm, it was AMAZING! Here’s my[...]http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/IowaGirlEats/~...
