We're not usually so readily dismissive of a restaurant on the first visit, but you know it's bad when even their o-susume (recommended) dishes sucked. I considered not reviewing this restaurant as we had a rather disappointing experience, but I thought that perhaps I could save another person (perhaps a Singaporean food lover) from making the mistake of dining there. Singaporean cuisine is[...]http://jeanniebayb.livejournal.com/118923.html

Raffles Place is another old time favourite places to eat while we were living in Collingwood/Brunswick. It looks a little old and rundown but strangely enough, it has an old skool Singaporean charm. The restaurant is divided into 2 parts, the kitchen & the dining area. The walls are painted pink and is lined with old colonial photos of Singapore and write ups from Elizabeth Chow.http://jeroxie.com/addiction/raffles-place/

It is not easy to get good a bowl of good Laksa in Melbourne, but I reckon the Laksa at Laksa King, is pretty decent. Laksa King is a small, Malaysian eatery located at an old shopping arcade in Flemington. So anyways, we were there on late Sunday afternoon, it was pretty empty then. We ordered Loh mee and Laksa. Lor Mee ($8.50) The Lor Mee was not good, it was distinctively bland,[...]http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/blogspot/xsAz/...

This is suppose to be Hainanese Chicken Rice but it's not since I did not have all the ingredients on hand so unfortunately it's not authentic :( hence the name chicken rice. Well at the end it did taste really lovely. So nice and fluffy and aromatic because of the poached chicken infused with the spices and the soup tasted really really heavenly lol. This recipe is pretty easy to make[...]http://isohungry.blogspot.com/2009/10/chicken...

The one thing that I consistently repeat and believe in is that the Language of Food is universal. Its inevitable to find similarities between different cuisines in some way or the other. If you thought that Italian and Indian cuisine have no similarities at all , then the technique of making Rumali roti and Pizza dough will amaze you. If you thought Bread pudding was an American[...]http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/ChefInYou/~3/S...

Huge hunks of fried cheese bread, croutons and horror of horrors...bacon bits! This week, Shag has requested a food topic near and dear to our child-of-the-80s hearts, the buffet and more specifically, the Sizzler buffet. Mere mention of the word conjures charactures of overweight Americans with little pig noses shovelling food down, trough-style[...]http://fooderati.blogspot.com/2010/02/buffet-...
