I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend & a relaxing Mother's Day . Mine was great but I wasn't shooting for relaxing. Instead of going out for a nice meal I wanted to make a bunch of appetizers & this dessert & just enjoy being at home with family & a couple of friends. This Mojito Pie was awesome!!!! It was delicious, not too sweet, not too tart. And the[...]http://stephscafe.blogspot.com/2009/05/mojito...

What an awesome 4th of July weekend. I hope everyone's was fantastic. I will write more & show pics in the next few days but it was a perfect combination of a little girlfriend time by the pool, BBQ time with family & the icing on the cake - quality time for just the 3 of us by the pool but behaving like we were having a party for 20. {My Pool Boy} I brought[...]http://stephscafe.blogspot.com/2009/07/spinac...

Don't let the bad photos fool you, this chicken was great!!!!! I had just cleaned out my grill earlier in the day so it was hotter than I expected & "seared" my chicken just a tad too much. But the flavors from the marinade really infused the chicken nicely. Bone-in chicken breasts aren't my favorite so I am really looking forward to trying this again with thighs, legs & even[...]http://stephscafe.blogspot.com/2009/07/margar...

Get it? Naan is a leavened, oven-baked flatbread. It is one of the most popular varieties of South Asian breads & is finding its way into supermarkets here. I started using it a month ago & have not stopped. Whether for lunch, dinner or even breakfast, I throw on some toppings, bake for a few minutes & I am good to go. And it's quick since there is no rolling out[...]http://stephscafe.blogspot.com/2009/10/i-love...

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I don't go crazy during Thanksgiving except to bring a few dishes to my parent's house so it was a good time to take a blogging break. Christmas, however, is a whole 'nother story! I make this lasagna every year for Christmas dinner at my house. It's special for the holiday in terms of taste & effort & the whole[...]http://stephscafe.blogspot.com/2009/12/drop-d...

I made this fish quite some time ago from Trisha Yearwood's Georgia Cooking cookbook. I was holding out posting it until I could make it again & take better pictures but the time never comes since I love making new things, unless my husband begs for a repeater. So, look past the blurriness of the pic into the flakiness of the fish. It really was delicious. 2 cups[...]http://stephscafe.blogspot.com/2009/03/baked-...
