  • Wash ant cut the veggies ready.
  • If you are using Basmati Rice, then wash the rice and slightly fry on oil and keep aside. Incase of normal rice, you need not do this.
  • Add oil in a pressure or Electric Rice Cooker, once it is hot add cloves and bay leaf.
  • Add Onion and fry until pink and add potatoes and cauliflower and stir for about 5 - 10 mins.
  • Now, add jeera powder, salt, chilli powder and dry ginger powder and stir.
  • Add the rice and water and let it cook fully. In case or a pressure cooker, then let it cook until 2 or 3 whistles.
  • Once this is done, add the garam masala and mint/ coriander leaves and serve hot with raita.
