Best cornbread ever in honor of shugabee lane


Ingredients

- 1 cup cornmeal
- 1 cup flour
- 1 egg
- 2/3 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 3 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 cup milk
- 1/3 cup vegetable oil
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika for sprinkling
- 1 tablespoon butter

Preparation

Step 1

Mix the dry ingredients together in a large mixing bowl then add the egg, milk and vegetable oil.

Step 2

Do not over-mix- just make sure all ingredients have been combined. Pour into a greased round pan and sprinkle with the paprika.

Step 3

Bake in the oven at 400 degrees for 20-25 minutes. Brush with the butter and serve warm.
