Time for holiday baking: almond muffins

Ingredients

- 1 medium egg, beaten
- 2 cups of flour
- 3/4 cups of milk
- 1/2 cup of almonds, chopped
- 1/2 cup of sugar
- 1/2 cup of oil
- 3 teaspoons of baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoons of almond extract
- 1/4 teaspoons of cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoons of nutmeg
- 1/8 teaspoons of salt

Preparation

Step 1

Start off with the wet ingredients so mix together the egg, milk, oil, and almond extract.

Step 2

Then we'll deal with the dry ingredients so use another bowl and mix together the flour, sugar, baking powder, nutmeg, cinnamon, salt, and chopped almonds.

Step 3

Then combine the wet ingredients and blend well.

Step 4

.Grease or spray muffin tin pans. Then pour batter into each cup about half way - you don't want to pour too much so they don't rise too high and overflow when baking but if they do, no worries because the spray on the pan usually keeps it from sticking.

Step 5

Then bake muffins at 390 F for about 15 minutes or until done
