Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C).
Unroll your puff pastry and spread cream cheese all over the dough surface. Sprinkle some parmesan cheese on top (keep some cheese for later ↓).Fold the puff pastry in half and cut strips at least 0.8 inches thick.
Twist the strips and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper (handy: you can reuse the paper from the pastry!).
Brush the tops with beaten egg using a brush. Sprinkle with parmesan cheese.
Bake for 20 minutes at 350°F (180°C).
Melt the butter and add the garlic powder (or fresh garlic) along with the chopped fresh parsley. Mix well.
Brush the twists with the previous mixture for maximum deliciousness!
