You love French baguettes but those are pretty expensive? You can make it at home, and it is easier than you think with this recipe, coming straight from France.

  • No-knead French baguettes - Preparation step 1In a bowl, put the flour, the salt, and form a hole in the middle. Put the crumbled yeast in it, and pour the warm water on it.
  • No-knead French baguettes - Preparation step 2Quickly mix with a wooden spoon. You'll get a sticky and lumpy dough. Leave to swell for 90 minutes.
  • No-knead French baguettes - Preparation step 3Put some parchment paper on a baguette mold or on a baking tray. Pour the sticky dough, and form 2 baguettes as you can.
  • No-knead French baguettes - Preparation step 4Using scissors, cut 3 times on top of each baguette.
  • No-knead French baguettes - Preparation step 5In a baking tray, put some water, and put it underneath the spot where you'll put the baguettes. It is mandatory as the water steam will help form the crust.

Just made this. Very easy. I converted the recipe to use dry active yeast and used 2 scant Tablespoons. Simple, quick and the family loved it. I’ll make this often. Thank you for sharing this recipe and video.
