The first post for Southern Accents is a centerpiece made of fruit, greens, nuts and spice. The source of inspiration can be found in Paula Deen's Holiday Entertaining Issue of Cooking with Paula Deen (page 74).FRUITFUL CENTERPIECE
WHAT YOU NEED...
1 large bowl or platter
2-3 red apples
2-3 green apples
2-3 lemons & limes
Mixed Nuts (in the shell)
Starting with the pineapple in the center, arrange the other apples, lemons, limes and oranges; surrounding the pineapple. Randomly insert the Cinnamon, greens and nuts throughout the fruit. Clove pieces should be stuck into the apples and oranges. Place in middle of the table for a fresh and festive centerpiece.
This centerpiece will last 4-7 days.
