Ingredients:
Tovar Daal - 1 cup
Channa Daal 1 cup
5 6 Red Chilies
Green Chilies 2 no. (Optional)
Onion 1 no. Chopped
Ginger 1 piece grated
Curry leaves
Oil
Salt to taste

Preparation:
Soak all the daals & red chilies together for a 1 to 2 hrs. Grind it coarsely without much using the water. Batter should be more consistent to pad the vada. Now add the onion chopped, ginger paste, curry leaves, if you need spicier in taste you can add the green chilies also and mix it well.
Shape like vada and deep fry in the oil.
Serving: Serve hot with ketchup
