After cleaning the apples, stick the skewers in them.
In a pot at high heat, melt the sugar with some water, and add a few drops of red food colouring (not mandatory).
Once the caramel is boiling, let it cook for around 5 minutes.
Quickly dip the apples in it, and roll them so the caramel will cover them well. It must be liquid, so don't hesitate to heat it again if it's too thick.
After that, put the apples on baking paper to cool down.
