Ingredients:
Now I went to Wendy's and I tried their New Bacon & Blue Burger. When I tell you this is soo good I am not playing!! It is built on layers of flavor and I came straight home and made my own . Go to Wendy's and buy one then try this one!!
Don't get it wrong just because I recreate a reicipe doesn't mean I won't go out and buy the original. This is just when I on a budget or I don't feel like driving to get whatever i'm craving. It's also fun to change up the ingredients a little!!
BURGER:
1lb ground meat( thawed properly, I used beef)
seasonings to taste
4 hamburger buns
spinach
2 tomatoes(sliced)
1 container of blue cheese crumbles
mayo and mustard(optional)
vegetable oil
CARMELIZED ONIONS:
1 large red onion
21/2 TBSP-balsumic vinegar
2 TBSP-white sugar
vegetable oil
MAPLE & BROWN SUGAR BACON
8 strips of bacon cut in half
1/4 to 1/2 cup-real maple syrup
1/4 to 1/2 cup-brown sugar

Preparation:
Burger.......
1. Form meat into 4 thin square patties.( I use a spacula and my hands to do this.)
2. Season one side of each patty.
3. Heat some oil over medium-high heat, place 2 patties at a time in the pan seasoning side down.
4. Season the other side, cook 2-3 minutes on each side or until brown.
Caramelized Onions.....
1. Heat a small amount of oil in a pan over medium-high heat.
2. Place onions in a pan, cook until onion start to sweat and become tender.
3. Add balsumic vinegar and sugar.
4. Continue until everything is mixed together and onions are completely tender and brown.
Maple & Brown Sugar Bacon
1. Coat each piece of bacon with maple syrup.
2. Bake in a 350 preheated oven for about for about 5 minutes.
3. Sprinkle with brown sugar on one side.
4. Continue cooking until brown on one side.
5. Flip bacon sprinkle that side with brown sugar.
6. Cook until brown.
7 Bacon will harden as it cools.
Build Your Burger In This Order.......
1. Mix mayo and mustard together, spread on each side of every bun.( I toasted my buns lightly)
2. On the bottom bun, place some spinach then tomato slices.
3. Now place the meat.
4. Then the blue cheese.
5. 2 bacon slices.
6. Lastly some caramelized onions
7. Top each burger and ENJOY!!!
COOKING TIPS:
*When cooking the bacon keep an eye on it because it will burn!
