- All purpose flour - 1 cup
- Cocoa powder - 2 tbsp
- Baking soda - a pinch
- Baking powder - 1 tsp
- 1/4 tsp
- Water - 1 cup
- 3/4 cup
- Vanilla essence - 1/2 tea
- Lemon juice / Vinegar - 1 tsp
- Oil - 1/4 cup
Mix wet ingredients till sugar completely dissolves, keep aside.
Make sure to sift together the dry ingredients to ensure there are no impurities and lumps. Also the baking soda and powder needs to evenly spread out.
Now add the dry ingredients slowly little by little to the wet ingredients and stir slowly in one direction. Make sure no lumps are formed in the mixture.
Pre-Heat the oven to 175 deg c and grease the cake pan with few drops of oil. Pour the mix on to the greased pan and bake it for 35-40 mins. Check if a fork inserted comes out clean.
Allow it to cool, refrigerate it and serve cold.
