  • Heat ghee in a thick bottomed pan.
  • Add bay leaves, cinnamon stick, cardamoms, cloves and cumin seeds.
  • Fry for 1 minute.
  • Drain water and add rice along with peas.
  • Stir till rice grains and peas are nicely coated with ghee.
  • Add 4 cups of water and salt. Bring it to a boil.
  • Cover and cook till done.
