(4.50/5 - 2 votes)A great way to use a pork roast
Recipe type: Main Dish
Number of serving: 8Preparation time: 20
Minute(s)Cook time: 12
Hour(s)Difficulty: Very Easy
Ingredients:Pork Roast
2 packets of taco seasoning,
1 can of tomato paste,
1 small can of Adobo
1 can of chicken stock.
avocado
tomatoes
sour cream
Preparation:I slow cooked the pork roast overnight in a crock pot. I also added 2 packets of taco seasoning, tomato paste,1 small can of Adobo and 1 can of chicken stock.
Once the meat was tender and falling apart, I allowed it cool and shredded it. Return the meat to the crock pot, but remove most of the liquid.
What to do next? Ahhh a this shredded pork roast would go great with some toasted Bolillos bread! So you can guess what happened next. I buttered and toasted some Bolillos bread and added a good helping of my warm, seasoned pork roast meat, and my favorite taco toppings like, avocado, tomatoes, sour cream or what ever you like. And VIOLA….
A Torta… That’s what I ended up making. Super yummy and yes I will do this again!
