Preparation:
Oven on at 350F.
In a bowl add all of the ingredients from step #1 and mix together with your fingers until they are blended. press this mixture into a 9x11 pan or whatever you have that will fit this mixture. (hint-> try to get the crust a little thinner and spread out evenly but use what ever you have) Once pressed into a pan put in the oven for 15 minutes.
Then in the same empty bowl (I like to save on dishes since I have no dishwasher)add the eggs and whisk them together with the salt and honey or maple syrup. Then add the 4cups of your choice of dry ingredients.
After mix everything together for at least 30 seconds.
Take the crust out of the oven after 15minutes and pour the topping on while it is hot, spread it out evenly and put back into the oven for another 25 minutes.
Once these are finished and out of the oven, let them cool, cut and freeze. These bars freeze incredibly well and I find are almost better frozen. Great for a cold day to get some energy and help keep your body warm I have these in the freezer almost all the time and take them every weekend for ski touring and cross country skiing and have been out in -20C and the bars are still edible, healthy and nutritious!
Have a delicious day!
