Homemade silky seaweed egg tofu with minced chicken oyster sauce

For Seaweed Egg Tofu :
- 500 ml fresh soy milk
- 6 eggs, beatened
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 tbsp crashed dried seaweed

For Minced Chicken Sauce :
- 150 g minced chicken
- 3 tablespoons vegetarian oyster sauce
- 1/2 tablespoon light soy sauce
- 1/8 tablespoon pepper powder
- 2 shallots, sliced
- 1 tablespoon chopped garlic
- 1/2 bell pepper, diced
- *thickening : 1/2 cup water + 1 tspn cornstarch


Step 1:

For Seaweed Egg Tofu :
Beat beatened eggs, soy milk, seaweed and salt untill well mixed. Pour mixture to two prepared 5" tray lined with plastic sheet.

Step 2:

Steam for 10 minutes over medium heat. And then leave cool.

Step 3:

Place cooled egg tofu to a large plate. Don't worry, the tofu can be easily released from tray.

Step 4:

For Minced Chicken Sauce :
Preheat wok/frying pan with enough cooking oil.

Step 5 - Homemade Silky Seaweed Egg Tofu With Minced Chicken Oyster Sauce

Step 5:

Stir in sliced shallot and chopped garlic, saute untill fragrant.

Step 6:

Add in minced chicken and continue cooking for another 2 minutes over medium heat.

Step 7:

Place sauce over the tofu and serve.
