Pudhina Rice
This is a tasty and very simple to make variety rise.. The aroma of fresh mint enhances the flavor when used in briyanis, pulavs and chutneys and also has a great taste when used separately like this rice..
Ingredients : Mint leaves : 2 bunches Rice : 2 cups Coconut : 2 tblsp Green chillies : 4 Onion : 1 ![]() Method : Clean the mint leaves and grind it along with coconut and green chillies into a smooth paste. Cook the rice in a pressure cooker. Once the pressure is down, spread the rice in a plate and let it cool. In a pan/wok, heat some oil. Do the seasoning with mustard seeds, urad, channa dhal and some cashews. Add the onions and fry till it turns light brown. Now add the mint paste and fry till a nice aroma comes out. Then add the cooked rice and salt and mix everything together.finally add some lemon juice and mix. Serve with onion raitha.. related searches : Pudhina
