Snowy Friday Five

Happy Friday 5 Day, Everyone :-)


As much as I poo pooed and whined yesterday about the snow, it ended up being a BEAUTIFUL day. The roads were clear and safe by 11am. I was able to work. I got in an AMAZING workout…for my condition. I had a lot of energy in the gym. I couldn’t believe how long I was there without getting hungry, lol.Must have been the being cooped up for 2 days that did it ;-)



Prenatal Workout Included:


30 minutes on the Elliptical, totaling 2.70 miles. Which is a lot for me these days. I used to do about 4.5 (give or take) in 30 minutes. Now I am averaging under 2, and declining. So  yesterdays time was great for me!


I worked on Shoulders, Legs and Triceps


Circuit 1:


Seated Shoulder Press on Ball


Sumo Squats


Front Raises


Lunges


2 sets total


Circuit 2 (not really a circuit, more of a super set):


Dips on Bench


Standing Cable Triceps Press Down


3 sets total


Then another superset:


Abductor Machine


Adductor Machine


3 sets total


Then a bunch of mat stretches. Cat/Camels, yoga poses, etc.


I could not BELIEVE how fatigued my legs were after just that first set of lunges and squats! You would have thought I had never done them before! Jelly Legs!


(I am recording this so I can remind myself of the better days in the gym later in my pregnancy)



I am STILL very ready for spring. However, I will say this only once more this winter.  I like living in the seasons. When the roads are safe, and we get a proper weather forecast, and not TOO many in a row. It can be quite beautiful. I went out and took a bunch of pictures yesterday for this category :-)
