Beautiful breakfast
Shew I was struggling to get up this morning! Anyone else feel me on this?? It didn’t help that I knew this morning was gonna be a solo workout since Kim is out-of-town. Preworkout I fixed a mug of coffee with skim milk and 1 packet of truvia and mixed up some cereal and nuts this morning for my preworkout snack 100 calorie pack of Emerald mixed nuts 1/3 cup Cascadian Farm Organic Kids Fruity O’s 1/3 cup Healthy Times cinnamon bears Those Fruity O’s are so yummy! I was shocked how good my workout ended up being this morning considering I was struggling to get out of bed and overall was just not feeling full of energy. I got a great 5 mile run in on the treadmill. I ran the 5 miles in 42:43!!! Whoo hooo! I’m pretty sure my motivation for today’s run came from the fact that I realized I’m running a 5 mile race next Saturday night…..eek! And considering I haven’t run 5 miles [I'm pretty sure] since the Gasparilla half marathon in February thanks to the ongoing IT band issues in my left knee. I’m starting to feel the pressure for the need to increase my mileage. I also got my stretch on after my run. Breakfast Seriously….does it get any prettier than this: Mmmm…..I’m pretty sure that’s about the prettiest bowl of oats I’ve created! 1/2 cup oats 1 cup water 1 scoop chia seeds spoonful Naturally More PB fresh raspberries 1 tbsp cacao nibs [a new purchase!!] Along with my pretty bowl of oats I had my usual french pressed coffee with 1 truvia and frothed skim milk. I need dinner ideas for tonight!! Any ideas, anybody???
