The
href="http://www.strapbuddy.com/index.html" target="_blank">Strap Buddy was invented by Gabriel Corbett who is a photographer as well as a mechanical engineer. This wonderful idea was conceived when Gabriel and his wife Tiffany were on trip discovering the wonders of Thailand. They were both carrying large SLR (single lens reflect) cameras and found them both bulky and awkward to carry. They were travelling and taking pictures along the way. When shopping at the busy markets, hiking and visiting the many animals at the zoo their cameras became uncomfortable, they were heavy and because of the protruding lenses, they were constantly bouncing up and down. The camera felt annoying due to the fact that it was actually digging into his side. He thought to himself there has to be a better way. From this experience Gabriel realized he was not alone. Everyone who was carrying cameras that day seemed to be having the same issues. With more thought he considered the idea of what would happen if you changed the position of where the straps actually attach to the camera. The way the camera is now, the strap attaches to the top two corners of the camera. This leaves the camera front heavy and the lens is sticky out in the front of you. It constantly bobbing up and down as you walk and you have to constantly avoid bumping it against other people or obstacles as you travel around. Gabriel came up with and truly genius idea that day. The
href="http://www.strapbuddy.com/index.html" target="_blank"> Camera Strap Buddy is a convenient little attachment that can be put on any standard SLR or any camera that has a tripod hole. This accessory is easy to attach. All you have to do is open the package, and feed through the left side of the camera strap through the metal tab. Place the tab over the thumb screw and thread it into the tripod mounting hole found on the bottom of your camera. It is that simple.
Once you have attached the
href="http://www.strapbuddy.com/index.html" target="_blank">Strap Buddy to your camera you will immediately notice a change. The camera?s orientation has now changed. The camera will now naturally lay flat to your body. You can comfortably wear your camera on your side or even move it around to your back. The lens is now pointing downwards. This position stops the camera from swinging from side to side. It will no longer bounce up and down as you walk. Your camera is now safer and less susceptible to accidental knocks and bumps. It is much easier to navigate in crowds and since your lens is now facing downwards it will also be less likely to be affected by rain, dust and dirt. You will also find that you have less neck and shoulder strain since the camera is lying closer to your body and not shifting and moving around as much. The
