Food, meet stomach

By Consider This! (Visit website)

Whew, am I glad to have a view other than the toilet. The past day and a half have been spent with some very unfortunate effects of Food Poisoning. Now, let me just tell you that not one thing has stayed put, and I have been very weary to attempt this thing we call "eating", as you could imagine. Oh, real food how I miss thee.

This morning, I felt what seemed to be "OK".
I simply couldn't stand the idea of being in my own filth any longer, and wished myself far far away from the place I had laid weary for far too long. I snagged a granola bar, and sat on my balcony as I watched the sun come up through the water.
I love the space between dusk and daybreak, the space above the realm of time - and above the world as most have yet to rise. I sat in my chair, sipping my tea and felt pure love this morning. Love for the day, for my body, and for all the blessing that have been bestowed upon me unto this point in time. It made me so aware of what I possess, and ultimately what we all possess - that pure, unadulterated happiness. All I wanted to do this morning was practice, was celebrate.
I made it to the Wake up Class at 7a.m. and made use of this solid feeling. My body was stellar this morning, my moves confident and graceful. The energy of an early morning practice is something so unmistakably wonderful, and something I need to embrace more often!

Well not all was rainbows and butterflies, my friends. About an hour into class, I started feeling loopy and knew my blood sugar was crashing. I had taken this into account with my breakfast, and had a spoonful of honey with my bar. It must not have sufficed, and due to the extreme circumstances of my projectabilities yesterday, Girlfriend was not OK for long. I finished the sequence, and cut out early. Back to the filth I went.

I slept until one could not sleep any longer and woke only for toast and peanut butter.
Ok, and maybe a pedicure but that's all.

Here's where it gets good, kids. Dinner time rolled around and I couldn't fathom the idea of hunger any longer. What was this thing you speak of, hun-ger? fooooood. Well, I looked to the freezer for inspiration and pulled out a long forgotten friend, the pizza.
Whole foods (lack of) Vegetable Pizza

Don't be fooled by all those fancy toppings, I adorned this baby myself as it was far from acceptable in my book.
I made like a crazy person and even had a soda.
Veggie Pizza and Fresca

Lord I hate carbonation! Fresca, to be fair, is quite acceptable in my book. It is not as painful as say, cola and other fizzy fuckers. If you haven't noticed I'm not a fan. This was quite OK with my belly though.

It was a nice reintroduction to the digestive tract, and I'm saying my prayers that all goes swimmingly from there. Im pooped (no pun intended!) and think I may venture back into the world of blankets and sheets.

Hope you all are having a good weekend so far, Catch ya on the flipside!
