Tangy Masala Rice

Tangy Masala Rice is going for FIC-Zodiac signs event posted by ashwini-spicycuisine and to the original host Tongue Tickler too. My sign is Gemini so used Turmeric to get Yellow color to it.

Ingrediants

2 Cups Rice
1 Tbs Turmeric
2 Tbs oil

For Tanginess

1 Lemon
Salt for taste
1 Tbs Sugar

Masala Powder

3 Tbs Corriander Seeds
1 Tbs Jeera
1 Small stick of Cinnamon

Seasoning

1 Tbs Mustard
1 Tbs Chana Dal
1 Tbs Urad Dal
2 Rad Chili
Pinch of Hing (Asafoetida)
Some Cashew (Kaaju )
Corriander leaves to Garnish
2 Green Chili ( Cut them half)
4 Tbs Oil ( Add if you need more)

How to make It ???

1. Add Turmeric and pinch of oil to the Rice. So that Rice comes out dry. Cool rice and keep it aside.
2. Dry roast Corriander seeds, Jeera and Cinnamon stick. Grind them to powder.Keep it aside.
3. Add oil to the pan and heat it little bit. Add all the seasoning ingrediants to it except corriander leaves and fry them well.
4. Takethe juice of lemon add salt and sugar to it.
5. Mix the Lemon juice, Masala Powder and Seasoning to the rice. Mix them well and garnish it with corriander leaves.



* Serve with Coconut chutney. It tastes well.
