The Search Continues

Hello!

Sorry for the delayed morning post. Mal and I spent all morning looking at apartments with our friends, Dave and Marie. But, before we looked at places to live, we enjoyed breakfast at our favorite diner: The Wheelhouse.

I love this place! (You can read one of my many reviews here.)

My morning began with a cup of coffee to which I added milk and a small squirt of maple syrup.

The maple syrup wasn’t the “real deal,” but it made for a yummy cup of coffee.

I ordered my “usual” breakfast: 2 eggs with homefries and raisin toast.

Best diner breakfast ever!

I added a hearty serving of Tabasco sauce to my eggs and homefries.

After breakfast, it was time to look at apartments!

Marie, our friend and rental agent, was super organized. She prepared some “worksheets” for Mal and me to fill out while we looked at apartments. Each place we looked at included a photo along with a space for us to write our “Likes” and “Dislikes.” It was SO helpful!

We looked at 6 places this morning. Here are just some highlights of the good, the bad, and the ugly!

Mal and I definitely have a frontrunner in our search, but we still need to rent our place! We have more people coming by this afternoon to look at it. There’s been a TON of interest, but no one is sealing the deal.

After apartment hunting, I made myself some lunch. I started with a salad topped with sliced almonds and balsamic vinegar.

Then a Sandwich Thin with peanut butter.

And, finally, a banana.

A little while later, I craved something sweet, so I tried a Cinch Chocolate Decadence Bar that the company sent me to test out. The bar did an okay job satisfying my chocolate craving, but it tasted really artificial and fake.

Hitting the gym next!
