Twig's Cellar "Bergevin Lane Wines" Tasting

On the evening of April 26, Robin and I went to Twig's Cellar to the wine tasting held by Joe Dewey from Idaho Distributing. He was showing wines from Walla Walla, WA., Bergevin Lane Wines. Twig's Cellar - Wine and Dine, is located at 816 W Bannock St., Boise. You can find a link to their web site in the sidebar. The restaurant is a wine bar with a fairly extensive menu of "... Small Bites", wine and beer. They do serve pizza, although we did not have any.















Twig's is located in the cellar of the building, but don't be fooled. It is well maintained and decorated. There is an elevator available for those who can not use the stairs.

2008 Bergevin Lane Viognier

Sulphur on the nose; some pear and spices after warming up; hot wiring smell. oxidized fruit



2007 Bergevin Lane Calico Red Blend

To heavy a blend; high acidity; malolactic; why would anyone blend a Syrah, Cab Sauvignon, Merlot and Zinfandel unless the fruit was bad at harvesting



2006 Bergevin Lane Syrah

The best of the night; black cherry; smooth and soft



2007 Bergevin Lane Cabernet Sauvignon

Chocolate; black ripe olives
