10 goals for 2010

By ATX Gluten-Free (Visit website)

It is never too late to come up with a list of goals for the new year. I am a ‘list’ person so I find myself writing down short-term goals every day. It feels good to carry out them. They give you a sense of purpose and order. Some of these might seem bland but let’s just say:

Simple goals are easy to follow through.

Not that long-term goals aren’t easy to follow through – but I’m going to stick with short, simple goals for now.

Crystallize your goals. Make a plan for achieving them and set yourself a deadline. Then, with supreme confidence, determination and disregard for obstacles and other people’s criticisms, carry out your plan.

Paul J. Meyer

Success is the progressive realization of predetermined, worthwhile, personal goals.

Paul J. Meyer

Writing crystallizes thought and thought produces action.

Paul J. Meyer

Do a little bit more than average and from that point on our progress multiplies itself out of all proportion to the effort put in.

Paul J. Meyer

My 2010 goals for my blog, myself and life:

1) Post bi-weekly content.

I believe in quality over quantity- Since I am in graduate school full-time, work a couple jobs, as well as writing a book- I think it is best to not flood the page with writing that I put together in 5 minutes. I want the post to be thought out and executed perfectly.

2) Improve layout of site

3) Continue to study food photography

There is so much that goes into taking the perfect food picture. It has been fun learning the ropes of food photography. I would love to attend a seminar or a class one day!

4) Continue writing my cookbook

My mouth is zipped right now, but it is going to be  H-U-G-E!

5) Drink less caffeine

All I can think about now is another cup of coffee… not sure how long this goal will last!

6) Read more

I find it hard to sit down and read a book after I have studied nutrition books all day.

7) Learn to cope with stress better

8) Vary my exercise routine

I wish I lived in Jackson Hole so I could snow-board in the winter- and hike, bike and rock climb in the summer. Since I live in the wonderful city of Austin, which is a wonderful cycling town- I want to take up cycling!

9) Make new friends

10) Maintain a positive attitude, no matter the situation

I want to thank all my readers for your supporting tweets, e-mails and

comments in 2009. Each one brings a smile to my face and lifts my heart! I

can’t wait to see what this new year brings to my life, as well as

yours. May you have a blessed new year!
