Angela's Chocolate Dream Mousse
My Grandma Cleva used to tell me that it was easy for cooking show hosts to make dishes that left many dishes behind to be washed, because they had other people to do those dishes they left behind. I thought of Grandma and her good point she made about the dishes when I created this recipe for my take on chocolate mousse. I like to change my chocolate mousse up and use a chocolate candy bar. This recipe does leave several bowls behind but I find tasting the first bite makes it all worth it.
Angela?s Chocolate Dream Mousse Serves 6 8 oz. Hershey?s chocolate bar, broken into pieces (I use Hershey?s dark chocolate bar) 3 tbsp. butter 6 large egg whites 3 tbsp. sugar ½ teaspoon vanilla extract 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream, whipped In large microwave-safe bowl, place chocolate pieces. Microwave on High 1 1/2 minutes, stirring every 30 seconds. Remove bowl from microwave; stir until smooth. Stir in butter until melted. Set bowl aside. In medium size bowl, add whipping cream and beat with mixer 3-4 minutes until stiff peaks form. In another large bowl, add egg whites, vanilla and sugar and beat with mixer on high speed until soft peaks form. Fold egg white mixture into chocolate mixture. Fold whipped cream into mixture. Spoon into 6 dessert cups. Refrigerate at least 2 hours. Serve and enjoy! related searches : Angela
