Capsicum and peas bath
Today I am going to give the recipe of a very simple dish, capsicum and peas rice bath. It is just like making lemon rice. Eating plain lemon rice will not fill the stomach as it lacks vegetables. So you can add capsicum and peas. Capsicum is my favorite vegetable. Peas gives a very nice flavor. But the peas we get here is frozen and very sweet(which I do not like). Anyways, we just need the following ingredients to do this: Oil (3-4 tea spoon) capsicum finely chopped 1 cup peas 1 cup lemon juice chopped green chili mustard seeds urad dal(1/2 a spoon) bengal gram(1/2 a spoon) boiled rice(normal rice tastes better than Basmati) salt Finely cut coriander leaves turmeric powder dried red chili grated coconut(optional) curry leaves(optional) dry roasted pea nuts Heat oil in a pan, put some mustard seeds. When it starts spluttering add urad dal and bengal gram Saute till it becomes reddish brown. Then add 1/2 a tea spoon of turmeric powder, curry leaves and dried red chili. saute for a minute. Now add chopped green chili (I usually chop it vertically). Then add dry roasted pea nuts. Fry it till it becomes crispy.Now add capsicum and peas. I used frozen peas. So I kept it in microwave oven for 4-5 minutes with water. Keep for 5-10 minutes, till it is cooked, see that capsicum is not raw. Then add boiled rice. Mix it well so that the turmeric spreads uniformly. Then add salt depending on your taste. Mix well.Add 4-5 spoons of lemon juice , put finely chopped coriander leaves and grated coconut. Mix well.
