Dirt under the nails

By Beyer Beware (Visit website)

It was one of those weekends.  You know the ones when you get a little dirt under your nails. Flower planting, tree trimming, tree planting, grass mowing, steak grilling weekends.

I love, love having a yard filled with flowers. Now, if I could I just figure out how to snap my fingers and have them planted. The kids managed to help. Especially with the watering. Last weekend the kids enjoyed the 80 degree weather by volunteering to water...each other.

Boo was so adamant to water, he drug the hose from the back of the house to the front of the house. The one in the front had a hole. Someone left it outside all winter. Oops.
Sometimes watering is really just holding the wand and letting the water fly. There really isn't a target. The thrill of a five year old.
Sometimes big brothers don't share with little sisters leaving them heartbroken.

And then we have to get all the freshly mowed grass off of our feet!
Finally, it is little sister's turn. This is when things began to get out of control. She has a very devilish side to her. She really is evil from time to time. But, I love to watch it unfold.

You think he is going to run away and learn to stay away from the girl with the water wand.
But NO. He came back for more. I can't believe I caught this amazing move he was making. Love that I have the Nikon now!

At some point Boo gave in. Went in and got in my shower to warm up. I decided to go look for him and found him in his underwear on the stool pulling a hot dog out of the microwave. I asked him what he was doing. He looked at me and said "Mom, don't you see I have different underwear on. I took a shower and now I am hungry so I made a hot dog. Now I need to wait for it to cool." Duh MOM!!!
I walked back out side to find this. Yep, no shirt and a lot of butt crack. How do I keep the crack in the pants? I just don't know what to do with her. But one blog post and two embarrassing pictures of my kids. Score for me.

Now, back to washing the bedding that is still recovering from Lucky Charms in bed while Daddy was gone.

Happy Spring.
