Good Night Tonic

By Coping with Frugality (Visit website)

In order to have a successful start on my juicing journey I checked out "The Juiceman's Power of Juicing" by Jay Kordich from our library.  He walks you through the process of juicing and provides a lot of great recipes.  In the book he also lists out different fruits, vegetables, and combinations that work to heal different ailments.  If you find it hard to sleep, celery provides the perfect balance of potassium and sodium to usher you off to sleep.  This is the combination I came up with to drink every night before bed.

I crave sweets late at night.  Before, I woul eat candy or cookies.  Especially with Easter candy all over the house it is hard not to eat sugary snacks late at night.  But that is the WORST time to eat them.  I now make myself this tonic each night and it curbs my sweet craving without being too sweet :)

2 apples

2-3 stalks celery

1 leaf kale (I have since started adding 2)

A few stems parsley
