My First Love or Loaf?
Alright alright.. It was expected. Seeming that I'm such a "wholemeal" and "whole grain" person. Well, grains are more hearty to eat rather than white bread because they contain nothing but carbs and trans fat. They're something most Malaysians eat EVERYDAY.. breakfast, lunch or tea. People seem to think that "bread" (your usual sandwiches, buns and other white bread) are healthy. I could only say that they are the same compared to our regular char kuey teow that I would definitely choose over white bread, which contains the same amount of carbs and fats. I substitute wholemeal bread flour for bread flour, and my loaf of bread came out pretty dense. It looks like pumpernickel bread where they use rye flour, whole wheat and maybe a little wholemeal. For my bread I used, wholemeal bread flour, 7 grain flour, 7 grain cereal, barley flour and lots of seeds. Explains why it looks like this. It's my first attempt on bread. Could someone enlighten me of making a good multi/whole grain bread? I can't seem to find a right recipe. I didn't know how long my machine takes to knead a dough. I set to the "dough" setting but the timer said "3 hours". So it's suppose to knead for 3 hours? I let my dough knead in there for 10 minutes then I just took it out to proof. How long does it usually knead? After kneading was it suppose to be wet and sticky?I never thought bread making was easy. It's time consuming and I get easily confused by the instructions. ![]() related searches : First
