Remembering My Favorite Hong Kong Recipes
This Week’s Film: Noble House The first Hong Kong-style meal I ever made was to accompany the Jackie Chan film Mr. Nice Guy. The menu featured Sashimi Rice Paper Rolls (pictured), Shrimp Toast, Hot & Sour Noodle Soup, Orange Roughy with Sweet Chili Sauce, Mahogany Duck, and Five Spice Cookies. This was back in the early days of Chopstick Cinema when I used to feature one film per month, and a five-course meal to go with it. In recent days however, I now feature one film and one dish a week. Although it comes out about the same in terms of time and effort, this once-a-week schedule is somehow much more sane and relaxed. My recipe will be posted at the end of the week, along with my Noble House series review. related searches : Remembering
