Brie en Croute
This is really simple and straight forward to make. It is so simple you will want to make it whenever you have guests coming over or when you just want to cuddle up with your sweetheart with a nice glass of wine and a great romantic movie. Ingredients One whole brie (this is a special cheese that has a white crust. Ask your cheese guy to give you one that is soft and will melt well). one puff pastry a little melted butter. an egg yolk some raisins (optional) Preheat oven at 350ºF (about 180ºC) Pull out the puff pastry out of the freezer about 10 to 15 minutes before using. Then spread the puff pastry out. brush some of the melted butter on top of the puff pastry, and then place your brie on top without peeling or anything. Wrap your puff pastry all around. Beat your egg with a fork and add a drop of water. Brush the egg yolk on top of the pastry. You may decorate it anyway you like. ![]() Place it in the oven on a baking sheet and bake until you pastry has turned golden brown. about 20 minutes ![]() ![]() Then pull everything out of the oven and let it sit for a while. It is going to take some time before the cheese cools off. Then in front of your guests or your lovely lovey open the surprise. Sprinkle some sweetness on top (I love raisins, but you can spice it up any way you like). Eat it while the cheese is still running! related searches : Brie
