French Friday?s with Dorie: Michel Rostang?s double chocolate mousse cake

Most of you know how much I love love French cooking, I love Julia, and Jacques, and now the lovely Dorie Greenspan.  My next cookbook may have to be from Pierre Herme’, but let’s enjoy this cookbook first!



This will be my first week with the French Fridays with Dorie community.  AND the first recipe I do with them decides to partially fail on me.  Oh well, I found a way to make it still DELISH.


I will not be able to share the recipe with you, but if you want to enjoy, definitely pick up this amazing book. It is called “Around My French Table” by Dorie Greenspan.  We will be cooking our way through the book, which includes over 300 recipes, YUM-O!!!  You should come over to the site and join in the fun, and you can follow on twitter!


This Friday we all made  Michel Rostang’s double chocolate mousse cake.  One word, WOW!   I still need to invest in some more fun kitchen gadgets, YES it is possible to need more fun toys for the kitchen.  I don’t own a spring form pan yet, so I used a 9 inch pie pan.  My dream pan!



I found a way to get the moist, chocolatey goodness out of my little old pie pan…..OF COURSE it was a little messy….but nobody has to EVER know….



It really was delicious, with a fantastic coffee flavor.

What a great end to TerraFest2011, my best friend Amy and her boyfriend Jared came and visited for a few days!  Jared had a birthday on the 13th, and my birthday was on the 15th…..sooooo I have a feeling this cake may not last long!
