Goals for 2010
I can’t believe that I didn’t write a post about my goals for 2010. What’s wrong with me?! I’m all about setting goals for myself. Last year, I wrote a post about my goals for 2009, and looking back, it looks like I achieved them all– minus the stretching thing. My goals for 2010: Beat my 5K PR time Submit the first draft of my book on time (4/1/10) Continue to save 12% of income Increase blog traffic by 40% Shape up for my 30th birthday (more info about this next week! And my favorite goal for 2010: Each night before saying good night, share one thing for which I am grateful (or something that just makes me happy) with my husband. Sometimes, I get too wrapped up in all of the negative stuff– I want 2010 to be positive all around. While we’re talking about goals (and resolutions), I thought I’d share this mantra that I ripped out of last month’s Self magazine. I hung it on my I Love You, Blogs and Coffee poster right behind my laptop. It’s a constant reminder to work hard for the changes I want in my life.
Breakfast This morning’s breakfast didn’t turn out how I had hoped. I wanted to make a sweet, faux crepe using egg whites, vanilla extract, and brown sugar, but the idea sort of blew up in my face. The “crepe” tasted good, but it didn’t look pretty. When I went to flip it over, it broke into 5 or 6 pieces, so it sort of looked like brown scrambled eggs. Not that appetizing, right? I’m not one to waste food, so I ate it anyway.
I topped my egg white crepe with cinnamon pears and a squirt of agave nectar.
I also drank some iced coffee with breakfast.
Perhaps I’ll give this faux crepe thing a try again later. I think I have an idea to make it stay together. While drinking my iced coffee, I grabbed a chocolate to eat. I love the combo of coffee + chocolate. Delish!
