Recipe: Creamy mix herbs sauce
If you're curious after seeing my post with the recipe for the roasted salmon with dill and want to find out how to make your own creamy mix herbs sauce too...here i am, sharing the recipe with you after receiving requests and enquiries about the sauce... :)
Cream Mix Herbs Sauce Ingredients: 2tbsp butter or margarine 2tbsp flour 1/2tsp salt 1 cup water 1cup dairy sour cream 1tbsp ketchup 1tbsp mixed herbs (Thyme, Rosemary, Marjoram, Basil, Oregano, Sage) Method: 1. Melt butter or margarine in small saucepan. 2. Blend in flour and salt. Cook and stir all the time, just until mixture bubbles. 3. Stir in water slowly, continue stirring until sauce thickens, boil for 1min. 4. Stir in sour cream, ketchup & dill weed /mixed herbs heat just to boil. Initially, we wanted to make a creamy sauce with dill with the left over dill weeds from making the roasted salmon but we were not exactly sure that we will like the taste of the dill weeds thus we decided to tweak a little and used mixed herbs instead... :) This creamy mix herbs sauce is definitely a great choice to pair it with any roasted or fried fish dish. A little heavy due to the cream and butter added, but it compliments the slightly bland taste of fish meat. But anyway, if you are as much of a fan of cream as me, i bet you will love this... ;) Speaking of which...last night i just had fried fish my mom cooked for dinner with the cream mix herbs sauce which i made together with the roasted salmon the other time and kept refrigerated since! hehe... oh and just an additional note, we agreed that this sauce tastes better when it's still hot. So remember to serve it warm! :D Ok dokes, with that...Enjoy the rest of this week everyone! I'm outa here for now~ related searches : Recipe
