Soaking up some happiness... :)
here's a quick update of the friday i had last week before i rabbit-hop, or maybe like a kangaroo, back to start working on stuffs for the day...haha! :)
so anyway, it wasn't the 1st time deserved one and me had our dinners at Benten Cafe and here are the other posts on Benten Cafe that i wrote before... :) "Shrine of Happiness"the reasons i'm starting to love Illuma @ Bugis... ...and it's not going to be the last time we're going to dine there anyway. :) 13th August 2010: Friday 13th!!! It was Friday 13th and the Hungry Ghost Festival and just to keep things simple and all the undesirable happenings away, we decided to have a nice dinner and catch a movie at Jurong Point before heading back home to rest up for the day...we settled down at Benten Cafe after we collected the tickets for Salt... salad of fresh lettuce, sliced cucumbers and tomatoes with thousand island sauce... comes together with the curry rice.. Japanese Curry Rice with Pork Cutlet - $11.80 thick and crispy, juicy and tender pork cutlet was really amazing and i mean amazing as in it's really not the typical dry and tough pork cutlets you get at other places. And did you notice that sea of curry just behind the cutlet? Though it's really like a sea of sauce, it's the perfect amount for you to complete your meal without asking for addition portions of the japanese curry and deserved one was enjoying every drop of it! haha! :) Teriyaki Chicken and Ebi tempura combo - $12.80 i remembered i had their biggest combo once which includes the teriyaki chicken and ebi tempura with the sausage and i was beaten right down after finishing! It was so filling! So this time round, thinking that i am smarter to take the smaller combo which doesn't includes the sausage, I was TOTALLY wrong. The serving is good enough for someone very hungry or a huge eater actually. And i just love how they are always so generous with their sauces. Even though i ordered the combo with the demi glaced (mushroom) sauce, i always find them more than willing to provide me with a bowl (yes a bowl! not a saucer...) of the other 2 sauces each that they have. look at how huge the plate is! doesn't it look like a sampan to you? hehe... anyway, i'm the one hungry and why was he the one looking so grumpy? hmmm... anyway, we had the 1st meal there when they newly opened the place and we were very amused by the awesome food served at such a worthy pricing. And no matter how busy they are, i have yet to come across a staff who is impolite when you start making all the weird requests, which in our case, extra portions of all sorts of sauces...hehe! All these actually kept deserved one and me going back to dine at the place... anyway, so much of my talkings, i guess it's better that you try it for yourself and you judge! :) 63 Jurong West Central 3, Jurong Point Shopping Centre #03-20/20A, Singapore 648331 Tel: 6793 4481 Website: http://www.bentendo.com.sg/ then if you have noticed my tweets last friday, deserved one and me caught Salt after dinner... :) i must say that this is yet another show not to be missed! We were totally enticed with all the action in the story and i really cannot imagine who else can play this role as well as Angelina Jolie! I mean she really has her thing in it and of cos her sexy thick lips too! If you have yet to catch this show, you might seriously want to start booking the tickets for this evening? recommend recommend!!! :D just a little side track for now... totally touching and inspirational isn't it? guess the next time you are at your peak and almost giving up, remember this guy who plays the piano with his feet and toes... evening movie for Step Up with deserved one later! YAY! but guess it's going to be our last weekend movies for a good amount of time...he's gonna be busy soon. okie dokes! i'm out of here! Happy Saturday everyone... :) related searches : Soaking
