Sunday?s eats
Sunday, a day without my camera. Can?t believe i had left it upstairs. I?m gonna leave you with a summary since i need to leave for uni in half an hour.. Woke up at 9am! wonderful sleep Brekkie at home so that we could watch the repeat of Cyril on AXN I had a Low GI bread from Bakers? Inn, toasted topped with a whole lotta Melrose ABC spread.. Also a coffee.. Lunch: Old Town white coffee.. Nasi Lemak for dear (RM7.90).. I find that everything here is very instant. even the chicken given is instant Ayamas fried chicken. I walked across to Tong Kee.. Bought me a mini egg tart and Wu Kok (Yam pastry with pork filling.. First time for me-wu kok at Tong Kee. Not too bad.. it was fresh cos i just saw them place it on the trays. Went home.. studied.. watched tv.. ?studied?.. wrapped pressies? watched Orphan! We thought it was a ghost show, but it was a thriller. Not too bad. Quite good and unexpected story line. The little girl is a very good actress. I had my Mat Toh Yau dear bought when we were on the way back from lunch.. Dinner was at Shiang Hee. New foods were tried. Fu Yong Tan (Egg Fu Yong) with prawns, meat and loads of onions (RM6) Quite good. I love love the onions! Brinjals fried with belachan and dried shrimp (RM6). was really good and not overly spicy. Grampa loved the sauce. Taugeh with salted fish (RM6). quite alot of salted fish given. was delish as well. Gramma?s fav! My fav-butter fish RM20. This one was on the high side cos they used garoupa fish (Sek pan). The ?hair? which i think is egg floss was good-slightly on the sweet side but not as crispy as Andy?s in Bandar Menjalara. The fish was slightly over cooked cos it was a bit hard. I was stuffed! Food: 7.5/10 * | Price: 8/10 | Ambience: 6/10 | Service: 7/10 * Fish was abit disappointing considering it was quite pricy.
